A Morning Reminder

Some days feel like a comedy of errors—lost keys, mismatched shoes, burnt toast, and calling the kids by the dog’s name. In the whirlwind of forgotten roasts and flat curls, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. Yet right there, in the “junk” of daily life, God’s faithfulness shines. He doesn’t smirk at our forgetfulness or sweat our small stuff. His mercies reset every sunrise, no matter how many times we stumble.

I lost my keys again, don’t ask! I wore two shoes from different tasks. I’ve burnt the toast, forgot the roast, Called my child wrong names (almost). He’s faithful when my hair won’t curl, When plans fall flat, and life’s a whirl. He doesn’t smirk when I forget, Or roll His eyes, fret, or sweat. I’ve prayed with tears, prayed with sass, I’ve said, “God, let this trial pass!” But through the junk, fear at my door— He never fails; There’s always more. His mercies new, He knows my name, And loves me still when I’m to blame. So, may you hear this truth today: God’s faithfulness never sways.

Standing on His Promise

Lamentations reminds us that God’s compassions never fail—they’re fresh each morning, even when we’re to blame. The same God who knows every hair on our head (and every lost key) meets us in the mess with unwavering love. When fear knocks and plans crumble, lean into His “always more.” His faithfulness isn’t swayed by our chaos; it’s the anchor that holds.
